FOX 8 WVUE Mobile App Reviews

I liked the old app before the updates. Too many commercials; difficult to navigate and the news broadcast skips and repeats small clips repeatedly throughout the broadcast. Please go back to the drawing board and rework the app.

For months now, I have been unable to get a live stream to play the news. This used to be my primary way of getting the news. Im about to delete the app, if its not fixed.

I have always been a strictly Wwl TV watcher. Ive only had their app for many years. But I recently explored the WVUE Fox 8 news app and I have been converted! It is far superior! You actually get to read real unbiased news! Wwl TV/App is completely biased. They only give you news for things that they want you to read. Thank you Fox 8 news for reporting all of it! You believe that your viewers are intelligent who can make their own decisions about the news related items.⚜

...FAILED to send a breaking news alert for a local mass shooting.

It works, the weather is minimal. It would be hard to put less weather and still call it weather. If it wasnt for Lee Zurik I would not use the app. WWL is a much better app but they dont have Zurik. Hopefully it will improve with time.

The iPad version of this app is the best news app I have ever seen. Very cool looking and easy to scroll through everything. Great, up-to-date news. I highly reccomend this app

I deleted and re-installed this app and now Im getting the correct LA weather radar image. I know what Bob Breck would say - "You had the wrong app!" No, Bob... I had the right app. And I still dont see the screens that are shown in the on-air promos for the app. I get local news, sports and weather, but not the way they show it.

This app looks great on iPhone and even better on the iPad (which is shown on your promo). It is user friendly. Great source for news on the go. Keep up the good work!

High school app

The app works nicely but I would have liked it more if it sent out news notifications.

I enjoy the app but it constantly crashes and closes. It never fails- everytime I open the app its like it times out for some reason and closes. This is the second device that it has occurred on.

Great app for keeping up with the Saints, and whatever national stories Fox News is reporting, but local news is buried. The few stories that do include video almost always crash the app.

I would really like to down load this app but it only allows you to open it. I guess every time I want to see whats going on on Fox I have to go through the extra steps. Other than that I love fox 8 New Orleans.

The app has long standing issues with the sharing feature. Twitter sharing has given long given an error response when trying that option. Please address this issue.

Well... I was going to raise my stars to 2 stars after they fixed the video from changing from horizontal to vertical but... alas... the app now crashes at random in the middle of a video or at the end of a video. They are still not updating their video segments much and instead of news its all of their "Fluff" stories. (whos having a fund raiser, how to cook something, silly junk) Barely any news. I would also like to see some function that allowed me to start the first video and it play all of them in the order they are listed as well as being able to just select one story to view.

Great content and the stories are up to date but as all things fox add some push notifications and actually send them!!!

I liked the app but since the last update we now have a big ad. I will never by what ur selling. Plus I can no longer post to Facebook I no longer have a reason to have this app on my phone.

When you open the app, it goes straight to an advertisement that sits there for a few seconds then allows you to exit. Most of the time when you click the x, it takes you to safari and tries to load the Fox News website. You have to go back to the app to access it. The push notifications seem like they just want to make sure you know that you have the app. If you do click on the notification, (and after you go through the previous complaint) the story is nowhere to be found. You have to dig through the app to find it... Ive had the app for awhile but Ill be deleting it now.

This app is so annoying. It has access to my Amazon searches and displays in the middle of every page. Then, you cant scroll through the stories without having another ad pop up and you have to x out of it. Im deleting this app ASAP. The stories are good but not worth the aggravation.
